TAG scientists are recognised internationally for the practice of this technology and have a clear track record of success. Working with biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies from all over the world for over 18 years TAG has successfully humanized 26 antibodies. At least eight of these have progressed to clinical trials, representing around 10% of all the humanized antibodies currently in clinical development.

Moreover, this track record of success extends to the market with Tysabri ® (Elan Pharmaceuticals/Biogen IDEC), which recently received FDA market approval for the treatment of multiple sclerosis and Actemra ® (Chugai Pharmaceuticals), which secured market approval in Japan for Castleman’s disease (and is also in late Phase III clinical trials for rheumatoid arthritis). This translates to 20% of all the humanized antibodies currently on the market worldwide.
